VIDEO: Sights and Sounds From PW Voice Meeting

The Port Washington Voice held its first meeting.

To start off 2012, the Port Washington Voice invited Residents for a More Beautiful Port Washington to give a presentation on their proposed on Saturday, Jan. 15. The group presented a revised proposal, which is available online.

At the meeting residents had the oportunity to voice their concerns and ask questions about the .

Some of the highlights of the Model Blocks Program include the ability to:

  • limit building height to three stories
  • create more parking lots
  • allow buildings to be used for mix uses
  • diversify building design while keeping a uniformed theme

North Hempstead Town Councilwoman was present at the meeting. She plans to be hands-on and see to a strong government involvement during the rezoning process.
