May 8: School Board Meeting, Donations Needed

Happenings around Port Washington.

1. The Board of Education meets at , 7:30 p.m.

2. Interested in social media? Put Wednesday, 3 p.m. on the calendar. That's when a panel the  will discuss how to use social media to grow your organization. On the panel: Dave Kerpen, CEO of Likeable Media; Sharon Maier-Kennelly of Landmark on Main Street; Vikram Rajan, author and founder of PracticeMarketingAdvisors.com; and Beth Granger of Social Media Club of Long Island. Moderated by Adina Genn, editor of Port Washington Patch. 

3. Needed: donations of clothes, shoes, furniture, appliances and household items. All proceeds to benefit HomeFreeHome.org, which its holding it 5th annual Mother’s Day weekend fundraiser at 11 Mill Pond Road. Volunteers needed too. . 

4. There's  at 10 a.m. $10.
