Plans are underway for the 2013 Port Holiday Magic event.
Earlier this month, the North Hempstead town board passed a resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement with the Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District, the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce and Residents For A More Beautiful Port Washington to sponsor the event Dec. 4.
The all-day event features shopping, dining, live music and street performers, including carolers.
The town board agreed Tuesday for North Hempstead to contribute a small shore mobile, four light stations, sound system and advertising signs for the annual holiday shopping event which extends extends from shops and eateries along Port Washington Boulevard, Main Street and Shore Road.
