Tell Us: Gas Station Lines

How are they on Monday?

While the fuel shortage is supposed to improve by the hour, we're still hearing about 45-minute lines in Port Washington.

Which leads to the question: have you fueled up on Monday? How long was the wait?

Tell us in the comments.

Still didn't look too promising on Port Boulevard leading to the BP station. Although the line didn't reach (or wrap around) onto Main Street as it has before, it was still pretty lengthy. Also (although it wasn't in Port), I had a doctor's appointment in Great Neck this morning near the corner of Northern and the eastern side of Lakeville, and it took me forever to get to the building. A gas line stretched from East Shore Road all the way across Lakeville Road, into the station next to Leonard's.

People are clearly gaming "Gas Buddy", which as a result totally lacks credibility.

Sorry to hear it! Hopefully we'll see a big difference as the day goes on.

I got on line for the BP station on Port Washington blvd about 1pm - the line wasn't as long as yesterday. Took just over an hour to the time I left the station. Not awful - certainly not as bad as yesterday.

PWPD had cut off accepting more cars in that line as of 8:15 AM, with the line back to Bagel Boss. There has to be a better system.

We spend an hour at 1:30 on the BP station on Port Blvd. After we got gas, police stopped cars from proceeding. On the back of the police truck stated, "last car for gas". Hate to be the car behind that police truck. After investing time from Dairy Barn to Hinck's Deli!

Hope we're billing the gasoline merchants full boat for the PWPD time and equipment invested in their line discipline and babysitting efforts.

DMZ on Valley Road has gas, alot of gas. But they claim they have no gas. At the same time you see land scraper after land scraper pull up and fill their car, trucks, and every can they can fit in their car
