Fifteen Percent Off Your Pizza If You're Packing a Pistol

Now serving pizza with a pistol.

Wait, I thought Virginia was for lovers? Isn't that the slogan we saw for years on countless bumper stickers?

After reading yesterday’s AP news story about a Virginia Beach pizza place owner, Jay Laze, showing his support for firearms by offering a 15 percent discount to anyone who came into his shop toting a gun or bearing a concealed handgun permit, the slogan may have to be changed to: Virginia is for Gun Lovers. Proudly Mr. Laze hails that 80 percent of his customers came in armed with guns, and one fine fellow even meandered in with his prized AK-47 in tow.

It sounds like we've got the makings of a reality show here.  They can call it -- Rigatoni, Russian Roulette-style.  Just imagine the possibilities. A grandmother, wearing a revolver, is served the wrong kind of ravioli, say cheese instead of meat.  She gets angry and pulls out her six-shooter and blasts a couple of holes in the tacky, pizza parlor paintings.  Or one loose cannon, toting a semi-automatic, gets a topping of peppers instead of pepperoni and all hellfire breaks out.  Suddenly, you’re back in the day, dining in good, old Dodge City. Stay tuned and try to guess who’s coming to dinner next.

In the meantime, the Virginia media mongrels need to start a new ad campaign.  Instead of Virginia is for Lovers, may I suggest, Virginia: Proudly Serving Pizza with a Side of Pistol. Personally, I would add -- Please Hold the Bullets.

To me, a restaurant packed with gun slinging guests is the stuff of nightmares.  Still others are claiming they would feel safer dining in a place like this.  Their thinking is that nobody would be crazy enough to try to pull off any copycat mass murder stunts in an eatery armed to the hilt.  Just asking -- would you frequent this kind of joint or boycott it?

Apparently Holmes went to the only theater that lacked security cameras. (As if.) There's evidence that suggests that Aurora may have been a black-op in which Holmes was programmed in some kind of Monarch or MKULTRA mind control, the objective being to elicit cries of "gun control"
