Car Accident Sends One To Hospital
Shore Road turned into parking lot for close to an hour due to accident.
There was a serious motor vehicle accident on Shore Road near Bar Beach in Port Washington at close to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9. Officers from the Nassau County Police Department's Sixth Precinct responded to the scene, which caused excessive traffic on Shore Road heading toward Port Washington for more than an hour. Traffic remained at close to a dead stop for nearly an hour after the accident occurred.
A driver in the accident was transported to a local hospital, but police would not identify the person nor would they confirm which hospital said person was transported to.
