Dec. 5: A Tree Lighting, 18th Century Cooking and A Host of Art Shows

Sunday features plenty of holiday themed activities:

1. Santa will bring gifts for children at the 13th Annual Port Washington Christmas Tree Lighting at the  at . Local residents will provide music and  perform the live nativity. Also featured: free refreshments, live animals and KJOY with free giveaways. This event runs from 4:30 to 5:30. 2. Discover holiday baking methods from the 18th century at . Kate Beckman will shed light on cooking in a kitchen from the 1700s like the one at the Sands-Willets House. Then learn how to adapt these recipes into the 21 century for the holidays. 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Get the details
