Girls Scouts of Port Washington Help Local Stock Food Pantries

Thousands of food items, dollars collected to help feed community.

At its Saturday food drive, Girl Scouts of Port Washington collected more than 3,200 food items and $2,800 in gift cards to stock the food pantries and help feed the Port Washington community.

The food drive ended with the rededication of the Girl Scout plaque in front of the Port Washington Police Station.  The Girl Scouts thank the Port Washington Police District, Councilwoman Dina DeGiorgio, Lucy Ephron from Girl Scouts of Nassau County, and the many Girl Scouts and parents who attended the ceremony. It was a meaningful way to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouts in Port Washington.
