Herstory Writers Workshop, a memoir-writing project for women, presents "Hear our Stories: In Jail and Beyond" on Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock at 48 Shelter Rock Road in Manhasset.
The event bring readings from adolescent girls, their children and their families of those incarcerated in Long Island jails.
The evening also features a discussion with the writers, community activists and attendees, looking at story-shaping as a justice tool on Long Island.
