Each winter the Village of Baxter Estates closes the steep Tianderah Road, which sits between Central Drive and Locust Avenue, to vehicular traffic. That, coupled with the blizzard that hit Long Island Saturday, Dec. 19, made for ideal sledding conditions on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
