LIRR: Delays to Port Branch After Person Hit on Track in Queens

Limited service now in effect.

Service on the Port Washington Branch has been restored, with residual delays of up to 20 minutes. It was suspended early this morning when a person was struck on the tracks near Auburndale. 

The Long Island Rail Road reports that the 8:08 a.m. from Port Washington due in Penn Station at 8:44 a.m. is canceled. Passengers on the 8:18 a.m. from Port Washington should arrive in Penn Station at 9:02 a.m.

Earlier, the 5:30 a.m. from Penn Station to Port was held in Woodside, and the 5:36 am from Port was cancelled. NYC Transit began cross honoring fares on the Number 7 Line.
