Long Island Rail Road fare hikes take effect Thursday morning, forcing Port Washington passengers to dig a little deeper into their pockets to travel by train.
Monthly ticket holders will now pay $223, up from $204, while weekly ticket holders will pay $71.25, up from $65.25.
