The Long Island Railroad is now operating on or close to schedule systemwide. Earlier, severe storm damage suspended branches and delayed trains.
At 11:05 a.m., NorthShoreAlert, the peninsula's mass communications service, issued an alert that Plandome Road is closed in the vicinity of the Stonytown Road triangle median, north past Leeds Pond, through the Bayview Road area.
