BLOG: Irene's Aftermath

Patch editors will be at the ready to answer your questions on how Long Island is faring after the storm.

At Patch, we've fielded questions all day about how people across the region are picking up the pieces following Tropical Storm Irene's Long Island landfall.

The damage is great. Trees are down everywhere, beaches were decimated and nearly a half million people lost power. More than 24 hours after the storm, the bulk of those are in the dark.

Our editors have been on the ground in your community since the storm passed, and they will be here between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to answer all of your questions.
