Pet of The Week: Meet Buffy

This young kitty is looking for a home.

Shy but sweet. That's how caretakers at North Shore Animal League America describe Buffy.

Buffy is an affectionate, playful young kitty who needs a home. If you are looking to adopt a cat who is energetic and independent and likes older kids, Buffy may be a perfect fit for your family. Buffy also likes the company of other feline friends.

Owning and caring for a cat can be good for your health, and good for your family. According to NSALA, studies that caring for a pet can decrease blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels and help to lessen depression, anxiety and loneliness. What's more it teaches children responsibility and compassion.
