'Mile of Lights' to Return to Flower Hill

An annual tradition to wish peace and goodwill for all.

If you're in town Dec. 24, be sure to plan an evening drive through Flower Hill.

That's when you can catch the annual luminary trail along Country Club Drive, Hewlett Lane, Birchdale Lane, Farmview Road, Greenbriar Lane, The Spur, and Brookside Drive. Residents there are celebrating the holiday season with their annual luminary trail on the evening of Dec. 24 from approximately sundown to midnight.

Neighbors of all religious beliefs join together each year to wish peace and goodwill to their community and all the world. The tradition started more than 20 years ago, and has been coined the "Mile of Lights."

All are invited to dim their car lights and drive slowly through these streets Christmas Eve and enjoy this tradition. It's a sight. In case of rain, the Mile of Lights will be on Dec. 31.

Special thanks to Samantha Reichenbach.
