Update: Service Restored to Port Washington Line

A broken rail had caused delays to service.

The Long Island Rail Road reports that service is fully restored to the Port Washington branch.

There were earlier delays due to a broken rail between Port Washington and Great Neck. Train service between these two stations had been suspended, with bus service provided between those stations in both directions.

In addition, the 10:40 a.m. train due in Penn Station at 11:25 a.m was cancelled. Passengers were accommodated by bus  to Woodside, where they transferred to train service.  Additionally, there was an extra train departing Port Washington at 11:20 a.m.
