Doings Around Port Washington

Tuesday brings road closure, meet the candidates night and a PTA meeting.

1. Tuesday means an eastbound road closure to a small section of lower Main Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. between between Covert Street and Jackson Street – during the installation of a new public parking lot. That's the section that runs approximately between the Town Dock and Shore Road. According to NorthShoreAlert, expect delays through Friday, Dec. 3. 

2. Tuesday is the time to learn about those running for Port Washington water and police commissioner positions. Sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Port Washington-Manhasset, this event takes place at  at 7 p.m. Learn more.

3. It's the final night of November Noir at the . Tuesday's movie is Point Blank starring Lee Marvin and Angie Dickenson. Starts at 7:30 p.m.

4. The PTA will meet at the library at 7:30 p.m.
