Port Washington Crisis Relief Team Builds Buzz

The Port Washington Crisis Relief Team is spreading the word that it is ready to take action to help the community in a time of need, as members Jonathan Fields and Vivian Moy showed Sunday at HarborFest.

They and their team members have been spotted at many community events, helping to build buzz.

Team member Elise May put it best by explaining that the group was "created by community members out of need in our community. We, as a group, decided to continue our mission and to prepare if needed again. We have formalized our connection with the Red Cross to be trained so we can better serve our town.  We don’t want to presume that all those who signed on with us to volunteer during Superstorm Sandy would do the same again, so we are trying to build an awareness of our group through our presence at events like Harborfest, Karmacue and Portfest."

"It is our hope that our neighbors will sign up on our website [pwcrisisrelief.org] or with us in person to help our town if needed," she added.  "Red Cross training is optional. There is always something everyone can do to help!"
