According to NorthShoreAlert, a peninsula-wide notification system, police have requested that "residents avoid driving, if possible, to enable road crews to keep and maintain roadways in better shape and to assist in, what is currently planned to be, a normal student dismissal schedule from schools."
In addition, NorthShoreAlert reports that there have been periodic road closures and reports of many car accidents."
