Storm Leaves Power Outages in Port Washington

Severe storm watch lifted for Port Washington.

A severe thunderstorm with winds in excess of 60 miles per hour hit the Port Washington area at 3:24 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect until 3:45 p.m.

According to Long Island Power Authority, more than 600 homes are without power. LIPA is currently assessing conditions.
