That Verizon Commercial? It Features The Brennan Family

The Brennans of Mackey Avenue under bright lights once again.

The Brennans are no strangers to film crews. But that did not make Friday's commercial shoot, which took place at their Port Washington home on Mackey Avenue, any less exciting.

Husband and wife Dan and Jeanne Brennan, and their two daughters, Sabrina and Diana spent the day shooting a Verizon Fios commercial that is expected to air nationally.

"The whole family was in it, it was shot in our house also," Jeanne Brennan said. "What a great day!"

The Brennans are a film-making family. In July, when Sabrina was 13 and Diana, 11, they made news for winning awards for their film "Maggie Marvel" at the Long Island International Film Expo awards at the Bellmore Movie Theater. They took home the Audience Award for Best Feature, Best Actor (Dan Brennan), and Best Supporting Actress (Diana Brennan) Awards.

Recently, Dan Brennan went on a Fios audition, and he was asked to bring a picture of his family and house. The decision makers seemed to like what they saw.

"A few days later they – 12 people – came to the house and auditioned the family on tape, and the next day they called and asked if we would all do the commercial and if they could shoot it at our house," Jeanne Brennan said.

From there it's been nothing short of a whirlwind.

"I took the Christmas decorations down, inside and out, in record time," Brennan said. "They came the next day for wardrobe fittings, a tech scout with 20 people, and removed the snow from the front of our house. What a week!"
