Birds of Prey at Sands Point Preserve

The Sands Point Preserve is home to many birds of prey – also called raptors – including hawks, ospreys, and owls.  In this live animal presentation, we’ll learn how they hunt using their keen vision to detect small animal prey during flight – and our up close view will show their powerful wings, talons, and beaks.  Learn why birds of prey are so important to our Long Island ecology and ways that we can keep them healthy.

Admission: $10 per car / free with Annual Pass.

Pre-registration is recommended - please email your name and the number of children and adult participants to info@friendsspp.org.
