Holiday Tales at the Hearth @ Hempstead House, Sands Point Preserve

A blazing fire in the library’s massive hearth at Hempstead House is the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of holiday cheer on Sunday, December 9, 2012, noon to 3:00 p.m.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will join in the celebrations at this happy annual event.  Special guests, Dr. Geoffrey Gordon, Dr. Anita Sethi of the Happy Montessori School, and Councilman Wayne Wink, will read aloud favorite holiday stories while carolers sing and the wonderful Wurlitzer Opus 442 Theatre Organ plays.

Children can participate in a range of holiday craft projects – and deliver their gift wish lists and letters to Santa in person.  Festive refreshments will be provided.  Gate Admission is $10 per car or free with Annual Pass.
