Jeffrey Sachs is director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University. The author of The Price of Civilization, he is Special Advisor to the United Nations Secretary-General and co-founder of the Millennium Village Project. His work on ending poverty has taken him to more than 125 countries that have more than 90% of the world’s population.
