Jesus celebrated the Passover with His friends and connected the matzo and wine to His own Body and Blood. This is, for Christians, the institution of the Sacrament of the Altar, also known as the Lord's Supper, Holy Communion and the Eucharist. No matter how it's name, the taste is the same -- God's sweet goodness.
This special meal is followed by the dramatic events leading to Good Friday's death by crucifixion. Jesus prays in the Garden of Gethsemane to do His Dad's will. He's betrayed by one of His own, arrested by the political powers, denied by the apostle Peter (for whom many congregations are named, letting you know thereby that there's more to the narrative), and deserted by His closest friends.
It's all so exciting, and you're invited to use your senses to participate in His Passion.
