Pond Investigations @ Sands Point Preserve

With the salty Long Island Sound just steps away, a quiet explorer can find lots of surprises in our peaceful fresh water pond… Turtles, frogs, diving beetles, tadpoles, dragonfly nymphs and more await us in the shallow water and muddy bottom.  To get the best look, bring a clean, plastic take-out container and its flat cover (clear and white are best) to create your own observation tray.  We will have some to share.  Recommended: wear footwear that can get muddy and wet!

Admission is $10.00 per car or free with Annual Pass.

Pre-registration is recommended – please email your name and number of children participants to info@friendsspp.org.
