"Care to Share" Collecting Fresh Produce

It is a variation on a theme; collecting fresh produce instead of canned goods to help those in need. UJA Federation in collaboration with Met Council, AmeriCorps and Hazon put together a program to collect and supply fresh local produce to those in need in those organizations’ first annual “Care to Share” fresh produce drive.

It is taking place at this time of the year in conjunction with the Jewish harvest festival of Sukkot. However, just as the commercial about the rye bread used to say, you don’t have to be Jewish to donate, and the food will be going to the INN which is non-denominational.
