Community Corner

Free Health Screening

Mayor Michael T. Meehan of the Inc. Village of Manorhaven proudly announced that the St. Francis Hospital Outreach Bus will be at the Village Hall on Friday, January 20, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to offer free health screenings.  Anyone 18 years of age or older can participate on a “walk-in” basis and receive a free health screening.  Screenings include a brief cardiac history, blood pressure, and a simple blood test for cholesterol and diabetes.  Qualified medical staff will provide appropriate patient education and referrals to participants.

“We’re very excited to be able to bring the hospital into our community and give our residents direct access to quality health-care services.  We are very grateful to St. Francis Hospital for making this possible,” stated Mayor Meehan.

The Outreach Bus will be parked at the Village Hall, 33 Manorhaven Boulevard.  All are welcome.
