TANS (Tikkun Alliance of the North Shore), a collaborative community effort formed to address issues affecting our world today.  Our focus is on tikun olam, repairing the world, tackling problems such as hunger, poverty and the environment.   Consortium consists of The Community Synagogue, Mid-Island JCC, Midway Jewish Center, North Short Synagogue, Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation, Reconstructionist Synagogue of NShore, Shelter Rock Jewish Center, Sid Jacobson JCC, Temple BEth Shalom, Temple Chaverim, Temple Israel of Great Neck, Temple Judea of Manhasset, Temple Sinai
