Levittown Man Charged With Manslaughter in Crash…

Main Street Cleanup is Saturday

Residents for a More Beautiful Port Washington and the Town of North Hempstead are teaming up again for the fifth year with the Port Washington community to clean and green Main Street.

Volunteers are invited to meet Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Port Washington Long Island Rail Road station. They will spend the morning picking up litter, weeding, mulching, sweeping and planting flowers.

Certificates of community service, signed by the Town of North Hempstead and Residents for a More Beautiful Port Washington will be issued to volunteers.

Complimentary refreshments will be served by Coffeed Sweet Comfort Bakery & Cafe.  Also, The Scott’s Miracle-Gro Company will be donating the mulch for the tree beds located on Main Street and tree planters located at the Port Washington LIRR Station.

Children must be accompanied by adults.  In the event of inclement weather, call the Resident's office at 767-9151.

Where is that picture from? Instead of cleaning up main street did they just clean up one tree?
