Schreiber Graduate published in Concord Review

Paul D. Schreiber High School graduate Jennifer Barshay had her research paper, “Unconditional Surrender In World War II,” published in the summer issue of the Concord Review, which publishes history essays by high school students.

Barshay's paper examines the historical background of the Unconditional Surrender Doctrine, the factors that convinced President Franklin D. Roosevelt to adopt it, its uneven implementation to the main Axis powers and the debate regarding the use of the doctrine.

It concludes with an analysis as to why the use of the doctrine was an essential and inevitable element of the Allied Powers’ war effort.
