Singer Macy Gray Joins Tuesday's Children to Promote World Peace
Manhasset-based family support group aims to help younger generations affected by terrorist attacks.
The Manhasset-based Sept. 11 family support group Tuesday's Children held a fundraiser event featuring singer Macy Gray and honoring Stephen Daldry, director of the film "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close," starring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock. Eleven years after Sept. 11, the organization remains a determined resource for children who lost parents in the attacks.
The organization now looks towards the future by reaching out to children around the world who lost family members in terror attacks since Sept. 11. Though the group's Project Common Bond program, members hope that by sharing common bonds, the younger generation can find ways to promote world peace and understanding.
