Website Helps With Gas Search

Editor’s Note: This article was written and submitted by Rich Jacques.

The aftermath of Sandy has left many New Yorkers scrambling to fuel up, but a new website is helping to make the search easier as gas stations begin to come back online.

If you're searching for gas, findgas.org might be your answer.

The website's operators are reporting 30,000 likes on Friday alone.

On the site, those looking for gas are asked to help keep information accurate by clicking "Report Updates" to update the wait time, status and other details. A search and locator tool helps people in need to find a gas station and stay updated on the most recent gas news.

A linked Facebook page also helps gas searchers with their quest to get gas.
