Legislator Bosworth Hosts Kids Safety Day

Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) partnered with North Hempstead Town Councilwoman Anna Kaplan (D-Great Neck) to host the Sixth Annual North Hempstead Kids Safety Day at Mary Jane Davies Green in Manhasset, showcasing demonstrations and special displays to help promote child safety awareness and education.  There were plenty of activities related to child safety in which the many young visitors could participate, including more than two dozen stations focusing on topics such as beach and pool safety, how to safely use the Internet, child car seat safety checks and bullying.  The children in attendance received  fun giveaways, and the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department continued its tradition of coming with a fire truck and smokehouse where children learned how to escape a room caught on fire.  Pictured are (L-R): Councilwoman Anna Kaplan, Leg.
