KEEP THE PRESSURE ON CUOMO AND SENATE LEADERS

New York: Make sure the Compassionate Care Act passes this year!

Sign our petition calling on Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Senate Co-Leaders Dean Skelos and Jeffrey Klein to take action on New York’s medical marijuana bill.

The the New York State Assembly just voted to pass the Compassionate Care Act … for the fifth time! Yet the bill has never received a vote on the Senate floor. This is simply unacceptable.

Please sign our Change.org petition calling on Gov. Cuomo and Senators Skelos and Klein to take action to ensure the Compassionate Care Act passes before the legislature adjourns on June 19.

More than 80% of New Yorkers support the proposal, and it has the votes to easily pass the Senate. Yet, while patients in 21 other states and the District of Columbia can now be treated with medical marijuana, seriously ill patients in New York continue to suffer needlessly. The Compassionate Care Act would allow New Yorkers with cancer, HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and other debilitating conditions to access medical marijuana if their doctors recommend it.

Help us send Gov. Cuomo and the Senate leaders a message by signing our petition now. Help remind them that the vast majority New York voters support legal access to medical marijuana, and it has now been approved five times in the State Assembly. Then, please pass this message along to your friends and family so they can do so as well
