MEDICAL MARIJUANA LAW GETTING CLOSE

The NY Senate is preparing to take a step towards passing medical marijuana. As early as tomorrow, the Senate Health Committee could vote on the Compassionate Care Act for the first time ever.

The Senate has been the only obstacle standing in the way of medical marijuana. But advocates have not backed down, and support is growing. Just last week, a Republican Senator became a co-sponsor! These recent breakthroughs have changed everything. Now the Senate is seriously considering the Compassionate Care Act.

The first hurdle in the Senate is the Health Committee. If the Compassionate Care Act passes the committee, it is one step closer to getting a full vote in the Senate and becoming law in New York. Now it’s time to ensure that our Senators do the right thing.

Seriously ill New Yorkers are counting on us to help relieve their suffering. So I took action and demanded that the Senate stop criminalizing sick people and pass the Compassionate Care Act immediately. Please join me and make your voice heard.
