Last week we told you about 8 month-old Daisy, a bright and energetic young dog up for adoption at the .
When brought to our town shelter we were told she was a Pit Bull mix, but most of the staff and volunteers of the Shelter Connection didn’t see that in her looks or behavior. One of the TSC volunteers was sure there was herding dog in her background and decided to give Daisy a DNA test to prove the point. Take a look at Daisy’s Certificate of DNA Breed Analysis and you will find that she’s All American, Apple Pie, 100 percent MUTT!
Neither of her parents was a pure breed, and that goes for grandparents and great grandparents, but “In the Mix” Daisy’s heritage includes Collie, Shetland Sheepdog, Labrador Retriever and…Dachshund, Keeshond and Bull Mastiff. She truly represents the best of the USA: melting pot, salad bowl, mosaic, whatever term you choose to use, she is one of a kind for sure.
Daisy deserves to live the American Dream: to have a home of her own. To learn more about Daisy or her other shelter mates, call the shelter at 944-8220, visit the TSC website, or better still, visit during shelter hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
