Port Washington Blvd. Hi-Low Speed Limits

I get that 45 mph on the blvd. between Northern & Hawthorne makes sense.  From there the posted speed limits are 40mph ... then 30mph...Near Weber Middle School & Campus Drive it's still posted at 30mph.  Other towns have 20 mph near a school, some even 15mph.  Our kids don't get that kind of consideration.
Cross over Main St on the PW Blvd and the speed limit on that 2 lane stretch advances back to 40mph - at St Peter's 30mph, at Harbor Acres Rd & Sandy Hollow -- back up to 40mph then at Harbor Rd, back to 30mph.   It's almost stupid how for absolutely no reason the speed limit fluctuates within 1/2 mile distance.  Synopsis:  Cut the speed limit near schools for the safety of the students.  Keep the PW Blvd to 30 mph from Hawthorne to the end at Middle Neck Rd.
