Port washington youth sports

We just moved to New York from Maryland and I am hoping someone can help me. I want to sign my daughter up for softball (4th grade) and my son up for baseball (1st grade).  I have tried several times to contact the pyasports.org but the mailbox is full and my emails go unanswered. Is this am organized league? Is there a better one to join? Any information or help you can offer would be appreciated!!

I posted your request to our Facebook page. What part of Maryland are you coming from?

Nicole, there are 2 youth sports groups in Port Washington but only 1 that plays competitive softball and that 1 is PAL. Please email me at pwpalsoftball@gmail.com and I will tell you all about our program.

Many of the PYA Directors are on a well deserved vacation or up at Cooperstown with their baseball teams. Best place to ask questions is at the PYA field house, call first and I'm sure someone can show you around when they return. Its a great organization and the fields and programs are amazing.

Port Washington Youth Activities - now has registration available for its fall sports programs - football, baseball, softball, lacrosse and field hockey. PYA is the largest youth sports organization in town with a beautiful 5 acre facility located at the end of Glen Lane off of Sandy Hollow Road. PYA is the only one affiliated with Little League and recently won the Long Island 11U Baseball Championship, the 12U Little League District 28 Baseball Championship and the Girls Softball 12U Little League District 28 Championship. PYA conducts background checks on its coaches and has a Little League approved safety plan. Please check the website for details on signing up for the fall and to print an application - see www.pyasports.org.
