Tell Us: Halloween Shopping

Is it too soon?

Stores have been selling Halloween items since before Labor Day. There's an abundance of "fun size" candy packages in the supermarkets, and those temporary costume shops have already been spotted in Nassau County

Which has us wondering. Is it too soon? Are you buying now, eager to get your hands on candy corn-flavored Oreos? Will it last by Halloween?

Tell us in the comments.

Yes, it is way to early to think about Halloween. Temperatures in the next few days will be in the '80's, the leafs are still on the trees, school has just started, The Jewish Holidays begin next week. What's the rush? Mid October is plenty early to think about Halloween, not mid September.

Never too early for candy. I'll start stocking up as the good sales come in, but have to find better hiding places every year from the kids. Sometimes I hide the candy so well, I forget where they are.

No worriies. Candy corn's shelf life is at least ten years.

I will be using last years candy that I purchased at 50% off last year

If I buy it now, I will eat it all and have to purchase more. I will wait until mid October.

We have looked forward every year to joining the pool the new pool was a waist of money I want theRead More old pool back my kids hate it it constantly closes because little kids vomit and have accidents it's a giant kid pool there is no room to swim and it's not deep enough this was a great community place to gather and socialize now older kids don't want to go and have one less place to go for the summer good job

The numbers don't lie. The pool has been a disaster since the last full year in its originalRead More format.
