Tell Us: Islanders Returning to The Ice

Strike-shortened season will be among team's last in Nassau County.

The Islanders are conducting open practices this week in anticipation of a shortened season that will consist of about 50 games.

And it will be one of the last seasons in Nassau County: The NHL team is expected to move to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn after the 2014-15 season.

At this late date in the hockey season, we're wondering, do you even care?

Will Islanders' hockey will disappear from Long Island's consciousness or will the team's fans follow them to Brooklyn?

Tell us in the comments.

Very disappointed about how the negotiations led to the fans being let down. Maybe, there will be some optimism in the fact that a shortened season will be more intense and exciting? We know the real issue that looms though, and that's our boys are moving to Brooklyn soon!
