Alert Issued for Port Washington Woman Missing Now 11 Days

Cops issue a "Silver Alert" for mentally handicapped, diabetic woman.

A mentally handicapped woman with diabetes has gone missing from her Manorhaven home for 11 days, and Nassau Police need help finding her.

Pearl Braun, 59, was last seen on June 18 when she was discharged from Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. Her 2002 red Chrysler van is parked at North Shore-LIJ, and police say it is possible that she was transferred from there to NUMC and took a cab once discharged, but offered no other details.

Braun is described as white, and suffers from an infection in her foot. A photo of Braun was not immediately available.
