Multiple police agencies responded to a report of a man who had barricaded himself inside his home at 48 Essex Court Friday evening. Port Washington and Nassau County police were on the scene, along with police negotiators, and a portion of the neighborhood was cordoned off.
Reports from the scene indicate that a woman went to on Friday afternoon about 4 p.m., after she had an argument with her husband. When police arrived at their home on Essex Court, the man refused to come out.
News 12 reported that neighbors say that a similar incident took place at this address two years ago, and that the man was taken to the hospital.
Police have not released the identity of man.
