Cops: Bias Crime in Great Neck

Police say vandals scratched Nazi swastikas into the exterior of a car.

The Nassau County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in connection with an incident of vandalism on Long Island's North Shore with anti-semitic overtones.

Police say vandals scratched Nazi swastikas into the exterior of a car parked at a Greak Neck Jewish center. The attack took place sometime between 4:30 p.m. Friday Jan. 6 and 11 a.m. Saturday Jan 7, according to police. The victim’s vehicle was parked in the side parking lot of Babylonian Jewish Center, located at 440 Great Neck Road.

The vandal or vandals intentionally caused damage to the vehicle by scratching the swastikas and other marks on the vehicle. The damaged vehicle is described as a blue colored sedan, four door 1998 Mercedes Benz.
