Cops: Bias Crime in Manhasset

Police say a large menorah in front a temple was deliberately knocked over, damaged.

Nassau County Police are seeking the public’s help in connection with an incident of vandalism on Long Island's North Shore with anti-semetic overtones.

Third Squad detectives are investigating a bias incident that took place in Manhasset between Saturday, Nov. 24, at 5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 25, at 5 p.m.

According to detectives, a large menorah placed in front of Temple Judea at 333 Searingtown Road was damaged after being intentionally knocked over. The investigation is ongoing.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
