Crime Report: Shoplifting; Burglary

Felony incidents in Port Washington from Sept. 9-19.

  • The following information is taken directly from the latest felony report from the Port Washington Police District. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints in the report are only alleged crimes under local investigation.
Under Investigation:
  • Police are investigating a grand larceny after a complainant reported unknown property was removed from 14 Herbert Ave. on Sept. 9 at 6:38 p.m.
  • A female reported an unknown person burglarized her home at 116 Harbor Rd. on Sept. 11 at 1:32 a.m.
  • Police are investigating a grand larceny that occurred at Sept. 12 at 169A Main St. at 2:54 p.m.
Arrests:
  • On Sept. 17 at 10:01 p.m., a homeless man was placed under arrest for an open warrant at 71 Main St.
  • A Port Washington woman was placed under arrest for shoplifting at 2:54 p.m. at 65 Shore Rd.  on Sept. 14.
