Glen Cove

A Glen Cove garage owner was arrested on Thursday and charged with stealing over $250,000 in cars and cash. Joseph Simeone, 71, of Torrington, Conn. – owner of Simeone Classic Cars in Glen Cove – faces up to 15 years for second degree grand larceny after he allegedly stole three 1930's-era cars from a customer, sold them and kept the profits, said Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice.

Garden City officers helped U.S. marshals and the Suffolk County Police Department in apprehending and arresting a 26-year-old Kings Park man for a  that occurred in Brentwood on June 5.

Police conducted a routine truck inspection on June 23, issued 61 tickets for various traffic and safety violations and took two trucks out of service.

Bethpage

A Bethpage pediatrician was indicted on charges that he sexually abused and assaulted girls as young as 11years old under the guise of medical examinations, and then secretly videotaped and photographed them.  The 60-count indictment was filed with the Nassau County Court on Monday, against Dr. Rakesh Punn, 53.
