I understand that this young man has a child and also that his wife is expecting. Someone should start a fund for this neighbor and member of our community. How can we not do this for his family that has suffered the ultimate loss???

While it was a very tragic accident, it was pure stupidity. How many more accidents like this have to happen before people realize that boating and drinking don't mix. I understand that it's easier said than done but if alcohol wasn't involved in the incident, the 3 guys wouldn't have allowed the 4th guy to go missing and he wouldn't have died.

Hey RHMcCabe!!!! you are one cold hearted person, first of all this guy who died was one hard working man who worked 14 hours a day 6 days a week and so did the other guys and not no crimals.
Silvia Rodriguez October 14, 2011 at 03:03 PM
They were in a birthday celebration and had to many to drink and went to the docks and made the stupidity to get on the boat drunk, but how much sense do you have drinking. Somebody lost their life who was a father and expecting a baby due any day now. I can't believe that in young years you have never had a drunk moment and done something stupid in your lifetime it happens to many. They were just trying to have fun and it went wrong but with no intention of hurting anyone

Agreed. Maybe the three survivors can start a fund.

"They were in a birthday celebration and had to many to drink and went to the docks and made the stupidity to get on the boat drunk, but how much sense do you have drinking." Great argument (I'm being sarcastic). I'll have to remember that the next time I get behind the wheel drunk and kill someone (I'm being sarcastic).

McCabe is correct again these guys were drunk and stole a boat and that is illegal. Sylvia - McCabe is NOT cold hearted he makes a valid point. It is tragic that these guys had to pay for this stunt with a life. As far as a "fund" goes how do we know that the deceased is in need of a fund? Perhaps he has a life insurance policy for his family and maybe his surviving widow has a large salary is in a profession why do we think the guy is poor? Is it because he is Hispanic?

All of you are being judgmental. A man is dead and a child lost his father, regardless of how or why. Their croons obviously were wrong, but certainly not worthy of losing a life over.
RHMcCabe October 14, 2011 at 09:44 PM
I was not being judgmental someone died committing a crime it is very simple.
