Families Helping Families in Port Washington, Manhasset

PWM-OEM is helping those without power find a place to say.

The Port Washington-Manhasset Office of Emergency Managegement is coordinating an effort to help families without power find somewhere warm to stay on the peninsula. The organization is hearing from families who are opening their homes, as well as those needing a place to stay.

"If you have heat and can welcome a family or an individual into your home, please tell us," said Peter Forman, commissioner of PWM-OEM. If you need a place to stay, tell us. We will try to match situations up as best we can."

Mr Forman has been doing a great job but where is Councilwoman DeGiorgio. Haven't seen or heard from her. Nassau County Haz Mat truck in front of Cow Bay Contracting - Patch do you have the details yet.

Mary, we are working on a story. Councilwoman DeGiorgio has been very active with the Port Washington Recovery Center. It's now at the library, and a great place to warm up, find out where to find resources and also food.

Well Adina I've heard from the PW Fire Dept. that they were selling gas illegally out of 50 gallon red drums. Are you dragging your feet with this story? Many families on Harbor were put in a very dangerous situation because of greed. It would be public record with the fire marshall and the PW Fire Dept.

Particularly out of line since it's a shared-use puddle for camp groups splashing, not a good poolRead More venue for individuals swimming.

The TONH should be under some investigation for charging such a high fee for a very short summerRead More season. You lose most of june and the pool closes in early September. Better off paying as you go just purchase the parking permit which is good at the Manorhaven Pool and the Harbor beach. Stop buying a season pass in protest to the yearly excessive price increase.

And speaking of investigations, what's up with Jonny's Roslyn CC fiasco?

Contact the Village and the water district, it's probably a problem with a pipe on your street.
